Flaunt Magazine

I shot this editorial for Flaunt magazine in Paris in the freezing January winter. It was an all Chanel photo shoot, the clothes were breath taking and I loved the way the photograph capture the raw and purity of it all.

OCEANIDES

This is the trailer of 'Oceanides' realized by my dear friend Lorene Carpentier. She is an amazing and talented artist and person, and I am so glad to be part of this project.

Talented surf photographer and filmmaker Lorenè Carpentier has released the trailer for her forthcoming all-girl longboarding movie called Oceanides.

The film has been made in collaboration with the Keep A Breast Foundation and features elegant sliders such as Kassia Meador, Julie Cox and Hanalei Reponty carving, turning and hanging ten.

Says Lorenè: "The longboarders I filmed are legendary, they inspired thousands of girls... This video is a way to get closer to them, see their everyday life, slow down some tricks to admire them. [Hopefully it will inspire you to] go on a surf trip with friends, be creative, be healthy, make your dream come true, that’s the Keep A Breast Foundation message for everyone."

The Keep A Breast Foundation aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourages girls and women to be vigilant about protecting themselves against the disease

Life should be like polaroids, instant. I wish we were able to snap a moment of our life, and put it in a memory drawer somewhere somewhat in our brain, as pure as it is now and never ever change it. We would be able to go back to it a million times if we wanted to, without the color having to fade away. I wish we would remember everything, everything like it once has been. But as I write this, I am wondering, would it be great to remember everything? We would probably live in the past rather than look to the bright future ahead of us. Maybe it is a good thing that our brain hasn't got the capacity to record every single second of our lives, so we can dream about the billions of seconds that we have to live without looking backwards at what we once lived.
