Chance Choice and Destiny

07 August 2010

You never know where life takes you but it always takes you somewhere, I like the randomness of it, it makes it exciting, worth it. A little mix of chance, choice and destiny took you where you are today but I believe that you are the only one that can get you where you want to be tomorrow.

First

22 June 2010

There is a first time for everything. First steps, first swim, first time to school, first kiss, first wave, first hangover, first love... Firsts are always so passionate, because when you do something for the first time you believe in it with all you heart, mind and soul. You are so naive. This is a snap shot from my first 'professional' photo-shoot. It was taken by Erick Reignard aka Tungsten, on the east side of oahu, I was 15. I love this shot because it captures the innocence of the moment, and of my youth, when I believed that the world had no limit...

Here are some snap shots from PR. We had an awesome time shooting, and drinking some rum! The people welcomed us so warmly, the landscape was amazing, and we even got to surf a little point break and ride horses!

DESTROY WAVES NOT BEACHES

17 May 2010

Our planet is our life; we have to preserve it. Especially us, surfers, who spend most of our time in the water or at the beach, we cannot let any form of pollution or degradation keep on on our amazing oceans.

Help us keep our oceans clean.

there is a language older than words. it is the language of bodies.
body on body, wind on snow, rain on trees, wave on stone. this is the language of dream.

AMERICAN PEOPLE WEAR TOO MUCH PLAID, THAT'S WHY I LOVE THEM.

When you walk the streets of america, at least one out of 2 boys will be wearing plaid. Every single color, it doesn't matter. Red, blue, green, yellow, black, but plaid. This is one of the reason I wish I was American, wearing too much plaid is the reason why.You never get tired of plaid, it is always the old vintage same damn plaid. And I find it so damn SEXY. Bring me the plaid, please, I totally dig it.

KEEP A BREAST.

During my escape to the gold coast last week, I met up with my good friends Lorene and Shaney who run the association "KEEP A BREAST"; their mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention and early detection thought art events, educational programs and fundraising effort. The main concept is to cast girls' chests all over the world, paint them and sell 'em! So as you suppose, I got my own cast done, and hell yeah I was more than stoked! It is gonna travel to California to get designed before going on a world wide tour and to finally get auctioned for a good cause. I can't wait to see the final result.
Everyone should be concerned by a major cause like cancer, so here is their amazing website, check it out and get inspired. Even the tiniest donation helps, so girls AND boys get your gear on, and help us fight breast cancer.

Ps. I can't stop wearing my shirt I LOVE BOOBIES!

Maman.

This is what I feel for today, Vintage is in the air. Characterized by excellence, maturity and enduring appeal, classic. Sweet light, floral, wild horses and indian vibes. I wish I could be a gipsy and run around the world wild free and sunbunrt.

syn·apse (snps, s-nps)

n.

The junction across which a nerve impulse passes from an axon terminal to a neuron, muscle cell, or gland cell.

intr.v. syn·apsed, syn·aps·ing, syn·aps·es

1. To form a synapse.

2. To undergo synapsis.

[Greek sunapsis, point of contact, from sunaptein, to join together : sun-, syn- + haptein, to fasten.]

Synapse: point of contact. The space between our nerve cells that passes information, seemingly instantly, so a thought in our mind becomes a movement in the tip of our fingers that become words on a post that somehow, miraculously, reaches you - another soul - who are reading this now, somewhere in the world.

Synapse: To join together. That magical something that is the connection: the space between. Between you and me, between this world, and the next.

Oh shoes!

16 February 2010

So I got a shoe mania. I think every single girl on the planet does. My personal obsession are boots. I see boots everywhere. Boots, Boots, Boots. Black, brown, studded, flats or heels, high or low, suede, leather, balmain, dolce gabanna, chloe or nine west, I see them everywhere. And for some reason I always -no matter what happens or how many pair I already own- need a new pair of amazing boots. I don't know if it's because I've spent most of my life on a tropical island that I am in total need of boots, but it's okay, I am not afraid to say I LOVE BOOTS. And I am not afraid to say I love shoes. I feel bad because I spend 90 percent of my time barefoot or in havaianas, but I live for these 10 percent left where shoes rule my world. And as someone said once said, "A well dressed girl without amazing shoes is not well dressed enough!" Thanks mister shoes.
